THE PARTICIPATION COSTS

The participation costs for the BIOPHAM programme depend on where you are coming from and amount to:

€ 9 000/year for students from EU Member States and Third countries associated to the Programme
€ 4 500/year for students from Third countries not associated to the Programme

Note : student will NOT be required to advance these costs. They will be directly transferred to the chosen institutions of their track.

Students originating from Third countries associated to the Programme: Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Republic of North Macedonia, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Turkey
Students who have lived, resided or carried out their main activity (work, study, etc.) for more than 12 months over the last five years in one Country listed above, at the date of application

Student originating from all other countries of the world

The participation costs include :

The registration as a regular student in all visited universities (depending on the chosen track)
Language and culture courses at each HEI (Higher Education Institutes) integrated in the BIOPHAM curriculum
Access to library and laboratories
Student management, services and activities
Health, liability, accident and assistance insurance (see ‘student life‘ tab)
The Integration Days and the Winter Course organized in Pisa (Italy) and Lille (France)
The Graduation Ceremony
All other academic and administrative costs (e.g. degrees issued from the attended partner Universities, access costs, recognition costs, etc.)

The participation costs do NOT include :

Visa costs
Travel costs
Some individual module‐related costs (e.g. certain books and materials, etc.)
Living expenses

Important remarks

The place of residence should be verified on the basis of the provision of one of the documents below:

- a residence certificate issued in accordance with the candidate’s municipality normal registration rules;

- a certificate from the candidate’s place of work, study or training issued by the employer or institution in question.

Both documents must have been issued within 12 months before the submission deadline of applying for an EMJMD student scholarship, i.e. the consortium’s official deadline for student application.

12-months residency rule: Applicants with Partner Country citizenship who have carried out their main activity (studies, training or work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any Program Country are considered Program Country applicants for participation costs.
